Randomize student seats, lock placements, swap students, and print your classroom chart.

Set your rows and seats per row, paste your class roster, and press "Randomize." Students are shuffled into the grid with a fair, unbiased random source. Need a different arrangement? "Reshuffle Unlocked" redraws everyone except the seats you've locked in place.
Click any seat to select it, then choose "Lock seat." A locked seat keeps its current student through every future reshuffle — handy for a student who needs a specific spot near the front or away from a distraction, while the rest of the class still gets randomized around them.
If a desk is broken, unavailable, or simply not needed this term, select it and choose "Mark unused." Unused seats are skipped by both Randomize and Reshuffle, and stay visibly empty on the chart.
Rows and columns can represent whatever arrangement your room actually uses — straight rows, a grid of small groups, or a wide single row for a horseshoe setup. Adjust the numbers until the grid roughly matches your desks, then fine-tune with locks and the Swap button.
